Entri Study : Pharmacology

Bismillahirrahmanirrahiim...mudah-mudahan ni satu cara nak bagi saya ingat drugs yang banyak ni...amiinn...ni adalah sekadar sebahagian nama drugs, tak masuk lagi mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, adverse effects...dan ni juga adalah subjek pharmacology je. Ada lagi 3 subjek medical dan 6 subjek dental. Huhu. Tapi mesti di kalangan pembaca ada yang mengambil lagi banyak subjek kan? Apa-apapun, didoakan agar kejayaan menjadi milik kita semua. Insya Allah...

Antipsychotics: 
phenothiazines- chlorpromazine, thioxanthines-fluphenthixol,butyrophenones-haloperidol

Antidepressants:
TCA,Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI), MAOI

Antiepileptics: 
-partial seizures& generalized tonic-clonic seizure: phenytoin,carbamazepine,valproate,   barbiturates
-generalized seizures: ethosuximide, valproate
-other drugs: benzodiazepines-diazepam, lorazepam, clonazepam, nitrazepam, acetazolamide

Antithyroid agents:

-hypothyroidism: levothyroxine

-hyperthyrodism: 3 ways: 
1) removing part@all of the tyroid- surgically @by destruction of the gland by beta particles emitted  by radioactive iodine.

2) inhibition of thyroid hormone synthesis- thioamides, propylthiouracil

3) blockade of hormone release: iodide(administered orally)

Anti-inflammatory drugs:
NSAIDS(aspirin, salicyclate, ibuprofen, diclofenac, mefenamic acid), celecoxib (cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor), acetaminophen.

Oral hypoglycemic agents: 
sulfonylureas,biguanides, metformin, alpha-glucosidase inhibitors, meglitinides, thiazolinediones.

Antimycobacterial: 

-antituberculosis: isoniazid, rifampin,pyrazinamide, ethambutol, streptomycin
-miscellaneous: ethionamide, capreomycin,cycloserine, aminosalicylic acid (PAS), kanamycin &amikacin, ciprofloxacin & ofloxacin, rifabutin, clofazimine

Antifungal: 

-systemic: amphotericin B, flucytosine, azoles

-topical: nystatin, topical azoles, topical allylamines

Anticoagulant drugs: 
heparin, warfarin, antiplatelets

Digestive system:

Antacids: aluminium salt, magnesium salt, sodium salt

Antiemetics:phenothiazines,hyoscine, metoclopramide, antihistamines 

Antidiarrhoeal: lopramide, morphine, codeine

Antihypertensive drugs: diuretics, beta-adrenoreceptor antagonists, alpha-adrenoreceptor antagonists, mixed alpha and beta adrenoreceptor antagonists, ACE inhibitors, calcium channel blockers, vasodilators, angiotensin II antagonists.

Antianginal drugs: nitrates, beta- adrenoreceptor antagonists,atenolol(tenormin),calcium channel antagonists.

Inhaled anaesthetics: nitrous oxide, halothane, desflurane, isoflurane.

Local anesthetics: cocaine, lidocaine, mepivacaine, bupivacaine,benzocaine.

Intravenous anaesthetics: ultra short acting barbiturates, benzodiazepines, opiod analgesic anaesthesia, propofol, etomidate, ketamine.

Dalam dewan peperiksaan, berharap sangat tidak tertukar pelbagai jenis ubat ni.
